When we embarked on the adventure that is parenthood, we
did not know
how strenuous this task would be.
The sleep deprivation,
soiled diapers, preparing the bottle in
the morning, clothes, having to go to work and fulfill
your obligations as a parent simultaneously, is challenging. Once you have a child the changes you go through are so great that it
becomes impossible to revert to the state you were in before.
Parenting is a
full-time job and the most difficult career you will ever have. Unfortunately there are kids who choose the wrong path when it
comes to making decisions in
life. I cannot claim to be successful but so far it has
been a delight to raise a daughter like Thalía.
When Thalía was a
baby she loved to sleep ... well actually she still
loves it. It was fortunate for me to have an offspring that
woke up at noon because I would never have to wake up before sunrise and I
could usually enjoy a good night's sleep. With her I was
able to learn patience because Thalía
was a bit sluggish compared to the fast-paced life I used to lead, but
mostly I learned to see life
from a different perspective. My daughter is always able to see
color when most adults would see everything in black and white.
I have never heard Thalía
say anything bad about anyone and
when she is around someone who does it, she always tries to
defend the point of view of the other person. To me is more than a joy to have Thalía as daughter, it is also a learning experience, a school, an adventure, a fortune, a blessing, a gift from
God, to me Thalía is the best person that a parent can have
as a daughter .
